Change is a flexible and robust platform and dashboard which enables companies to make donations of any amount to over a million nonprofits. We make giving easy for companies of all shapes and sizes and through any medium, from roundups at checkout to professional fundraisers. By using Change, you can leave the logistics and paperwork of charity to us.
First, find the nonprofit you would like to donate to using our dashboard search. Using the EIN or nonprofit ID, we offer three ways to make donations to your nonprofit: 1) using our robust APIs, 2) uploading a CSV, or 3) using Stripe transfers (advanced). After pledging donations to a nonprofit using any of the three methods, we will invoice you on a scheduled basis and after receiving payment, will issue the funds to the nonprofit.
Yes! We have a full suite of API documentation to help your developers accept donations at checkout. If you need more help, please book a demo or reach out to hello@getchange.io where we'd be happy to assist you at whatever step you are in the process.
At the end of every month, Change will invoice your company for the donations it has pledged using our platform. Upon receiving payment for your invoice, Change will immediately begin to process the funds and grant them to your designated nonprofit. Change is not a payment processor and you will not need to replace any of your company's infrastructure in order to use Change or our APIs.
You can find all invoices as well as their current status on this page. Please note that the status of paid invoices may take up to an hour to reflect in our dashboard.
Change separates donation amount totals from our processing fees. Each month, you will receive one invoice in the amount totaling the donations made from Our Change Foundation and a second invoice containing the fees associated with using our platform from Change.
Nonprofits receive their funds based on their desired payout schedule which could range from daily to quarterly. With this in mind, it may take up to a week for a nonprofit to receive their funds after an invoice has been paid. If you have any questions or concerns regarding a specific donation or invoice, please feel free to reach out to hello@getchange.io.
Professional fundraisers, hired by nonprofits to raise money, can expand audience reach and fundraising efficiency. This can also include charitable sweepstakes, where donations are tied to a chance to win prizes. Both professional fundraisers and charitable sweepstakes are regulated by state laws to ensure transparency and protect donors.
A commercial co-venture (CCV) is a partnership where a business donates a portion of its sales to a nonprofit. It's an effective way to support a cause while promoting products. However, businesses must register as CCVs and adhere to reporting requirements in many jurisdictions.
